At KNESKO we believe in doing our part to preserve the world we live in. This is why we’re transparent and take the time to share what we do as a company, as well as where we’re headed in the future. Our products are designed to inspire and empower the people who wear them, which is why we want to be honest with our practices.
Where We’re Making A Difference
We want our customers to be sure that they’re using products that are better for them and better for our planet. We aim to be transparent about our clean and green beauty practices.
Unlike other masks, ours are created without a plastic mesh base or backing—making them fully biodegradable. They begin to biodegrade as soon as they are exposed to the air and will fully decompose in days, weeks, or months depending on the outside temperature.
You can help decompose them yourself in just a few minutes. The process is simple: Just place your used mask in hot water and watch it dissolve. For the ultimate at-home spa experience, you can drop your mask into a bath afterward for a body treatment!
Plus, if you’d like to get a little extra life out of your face mask, you can use the mask for a second treatment. Just put it back into its original packaging and place it in your fridge. The active ingredients will be preserved—make sure you use the mask within 24 hours.
Clean beauty means safe and non-toxic ingredients. You can be sure that our products are 100% free of Formaldehyde, Butylene Glycol, Benzyl Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Phthalates, Parabens, Sulfates, Silicones, Triclosan, Oxybenzone, Paraffins, Polyethylene (PEGs), Butylated Hydroxyanisole (BHAs). And KNESKO ingredients are classified as “Low Hazard” (safe) by the Environmental Working Group (EWG).
We are a cruelty-free brand and proudly test on friends and family, not animals.
Our minerals are always sourced from ethical resource partners and manufacturers. We select our gemstones from fair trade companies in Brazil and China.
KNESKO’s packaging is loved by our community as it is fully reusable and can be used to store your personal items or reused as a gift box.
Our mask trays are required to maintain the structure of the face mask. They’re made from 100% recycled plastic (RPET) and are recyclable.
The pouches our masks come in are made from a recyclable aluminum sachet.
Our gemstone-infused serums come packaged in carefully crafted, recycled glass bottles.
Giving Back to Our Planet
We’re honored to support reforestation with @onetreeplanted. For every product purchased we plant a tree. So, if you buy three products for upcoming at-home spa sessions, we help support One Tree Planted on their mission of global reforestation by planting three trees on your behalf. Tree planting is one of the things we can do to support our environment and combat climate change. Thank you for helping us make this planet a greener, healthier, and more beautiful place.
Our Company Practices
The KNESKO team is committed to using practices that reduce our company’s impact. Our warehouse is equipped with energy-efficient machines and equipment, all of which are unplugged at the end of each day to reduce phantom energy loads. We utilize online training and education with our spa and retail partners to minimize our travel emissions. All of this is on top of our regular recycling and reusing of plastic, cardboard, and pallets.
Our Pledge For The Future
KNESKO bridges the gap between science and spirituality. Now we want to bridge the gap between science, spirituality, and sustainability. We’ve been on a journey for 10+ years to create natural, results-driven skin care products. Our evolution towards sustainability is only just beginning.
FSC-Certified paper by 2022
We’ll be using sustainably harvested, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper for our rigid box sleeves and product information.
Fully recyclable packaging and shipping by 2025
We are currently exploring options to make our rigid boxes and individual mask boxes recyclable, without compromising on the quality. In the future, expect to see packaging materials that have been responsibly sourced or made out of post-consumer recycled products, along with soy-based ink for printing.
